Choose the surface and conditions together.
Inspect the table itself
A cockpit table can be hinged, slatted or tilted. Use only a supported level area with room for the full base.
Keep sailing work clear
Do not place drinks near working lines, controls or the route between cabin and cockpit. A resting spot must not compete with boat operation.
Reassess when conditions change
A quiet berth can still be disturbed. Put open drinkware away when movement makes the setup unsuitable.
